Last updated: 2 November 2026
This Warranty policy explains the cover BuildRX provides on top of your legal rights. It does not replace or reduce your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

1. What is included as standard
Every new BuildRX PC sold for UK delivery includes:
- Manufacturer warranties on parts — we pass through the remaining manufacturer (or authorised distributor) warranty on components such as CPU, GPU, motherboard, memory, storage, PSU and case, for the period each maker provides. We will help you identify the right support channel and, where we can, assist with RMA logistics during our BuildRX cover period.
- 1-year BuildRX build & labour warranty — for 12 months from the delivery date we cover faults arising from our assembly, cable management, configuration and workmanship, and we will diagnose and remedy covered faults on a return-to-base basis (you send the PC to us, or we arrange collection where agreed).
Standard cover is included in the build price. You do not need to buy anything extra for the 1-year BuildRX warranty.
2. Optional extended warranty (paid add-on)
At checkout you may add a paid extension of the BuildRX build & labour warranty:
- 2-year extended warranty — BuildRX labour/build cover for 24 months from delivery.
- 3-year extended warranty — BuildRX labour/build cover for 36 months from delivery.
Extended warranty lengthens our build & labour / return-to-base support. It does not create a new manufacturer parts warranty, but we continue to help with manufacturer RMAs during the extended period where those maker warranties still apply.
Extended warranty must be selected and paid for at the time of the original order (or within any grace window we expressly offer). It is tied to the original system / order and is not transferable without our written agreement.
Extended warranty prices (by build price)
Prices are fixed bands based on the PC’s build price at checkout (before the warranty add-on itself):
| Build price band | 2-year extended warranty | 3-year extended warranty |
|---|---|---|
| Under £1,800 | £89 | £149 |
| £1,800 – £2,999 | £129 | £219 |
| £3,000 and above | £179 | £299 |
The exact option and price for your build are shown at checkout before you pay.
3. How to make a warranty claim
- Email info@buildrxcomputers.co.uk with your order number, a description of the problem, and photos or a short video if possible.
- We will troubleshoot remotely first (connections, display output, BIOS/settings) where safe to do so.
- If return-to-base is needed, we will authorise a return and give packing and shipping instructions. Keep the PC insured in transit.
- We repair or replace defective assembly work or covered components as appropriate. If a part is replaced under manufacturer warranty, lead times depend on the manufacturer.
We operate delivery-in / courier-out only — no customer workshop visits. The return address for an authorised claim will be confirmed by email when we open the case.
4. What is not covered
The BuildRX warranty (standard or extended) does not cover:
- Physical damage after delivery (drops, liquid spills, crushed cases, bent PCIe slots from improper handling).
- Damage from incorrect packing on a return you arranged without following our instructions.
- Faults caused by overclocking or undervolting beyond the defaults / profiles we shipped (including motherboard multi-core boost extremes you enable yourself), unless we sold the system as a pre-tuned package and the fault relates to that tune.
- User modifications: adding/removing parts, custom loops you fit, BIOS flashes we did not authorise, or third-party service work.
- Software issues, malware, operating system corruption, or licence problems unrelated to our imaging (if any).
- Normal wear, consumables (thermal paste after user re-paste, worn fans from heavy dust without cleaning), or cosmetic damage.
- Lightning, power surges, inadequate PSU for parts you later add, or use outside a normal indoor environment.
- Systems used primarily in a business / server / 24/7 unattended role unless we agreed that use in writing at sale.
Exclusions do not affect claims for goods that were faulty or not as described when supplied.
5. Statutory rights
This warranty is in addition to your legal rights. If goods are faulty, you may still have rights to repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 regardless of this policy.
